Gabriel Más (Spanish for “more”) is the spiritual and creative continuation of the 1970s progressive rock band Gabriel Bondage (1970-1984) – a rebirth led by original member Rex Bundy and longtime friend and collaborator Rich Reardin.
For Rex, it all began the night he saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan – a moment that ignited a lifelong obsession with music and performance. From humble beginnings banging on a pawnshop drum to writing and recording with trained musicians, Rex became the heart of Gabriel Bondage, a band known for its ambitious compositions and mystical themes. Decades later, the journey hasn’t ended—it’s evolved.
Rich Reardin, a seasoned artist, songwriter, audio engineer, and multi-instrumentalist, shares that same early inspiration. Deeply rooted in progressive music of all kinds, and with a long and varied history in the music business as a studio owner and producer, Rich delves deeply into a wide world of instrumentation.
So, from synthesizers to the Sitar, Philharmonic orchestration to guitar, bass, keyboards and drums, Gabriel Más has indeed become ‘more’ than just performing and recording retro music. Together, Rex and Rich sparked the idea for a new collaboration, new music—and a new chapter with homage to the past- Gabriel Más.
Gabriel Más is the natural extension/continuation of what Gabriel Bondage began. With layered compositions, thoughtful lyrics, and a shared vision of music as a vehicle for deeper exploration, the band invites listeners on a journey that goes beyond nostalgia. This is music for the mind and the heart—an offering of ‘more’ in every sense.
